2026 - 2027 Warming Shelters

MaineHousing has awarded $2,722,538 to 12 organizations to provide 474 beds at short-term warming shelters this winter. The following warming centers will operate during the 2026-2027 winter season, open 11/15/2026 and close 4/30/2027:

Augusta Emergency Overnight Warming Center- Augusta
Bangor Area Homeless Shelter- Bangor
Brick Church- Bangor
Healthy Acadia- Ellsworth
HOME Inc.- Orland
Homeless Services of Aroostook- Presque Isle
Mid- Maine Homeless Shelter- Waterville
Seeds of Hope- Biddeford
Seeds of Hope- Portland
State St Church- Portland
Tedford- Brunswick
