Creativity Builds Connection

Artists, arts organizations, community leaders, policymakers, educators, health professionals, cultural partners, and Mainers from across the state are invited to join the Maine Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts for an afternoon exploring how creativity builds healthier, more connected communities.


Program

2:00–3:30 PM | Creativity Builds Connection: Arts, Health, and Well-Being in Maine

4:00–5:00 PM | NEA + Maine Arts Commission Grants Workshop


The program will bring together NEA Chairman Mary Anne Carter, Congresswoman Chellie Pingree, Maine Arts Commission leadership, and voices from Maine’s creative sector for presentations and a panel discussion.


The afternoon will also include a grant workshop presented by National Endowment for the Arts and Maine Arts Commission staff.


Free and open to the public. Attend in person or virtually. Discounted parking will be available, with additional details to follow closer to the event.


Registrants will also have the opportunity to submit a question for Chairman Carter in advance.
