MaineDOT to Work Overnight on I-95 Bridges in Hampden and Plymouth
Drivers should plan for single lane traffic on I-95.
HAMPDEN/PLYMOUTH– August 11, 2026 – The Maine Department of Transportation has begun a bridge painting project on the I-95 bridges on Cold Brook Road and Route 7.
This project will help to preserve and extend the life of the bridges.
Drivers heading towards the Route 7 Bridge over I-95 in Plymouth will encounter one lane traffic with temporary traffic lights.
Drivers heading on I-95 northbound and southbound will encounter one lane traffic from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. at mile markers 160 to 162 and 179 to 181.
Work is expected to be completed by December 2026.
The contractor on this project is Royal Bridge Inc., of Palm Harbor, Florida.
The contract amount is $1,165,200.00.
